There is several explanation for such thing:

1. Women do not always think of sex as men seem to be doing

2. More then 60% of women admits that they have better orgasm trough masturbation then with any man.

3. A wardrobe will last you years. A night of sex is not tangible. That said, I would give out a one night stand for a wardrobe simply because it would be more practical and logic.

Now would I be leaving my partner without sex for 15 months, that's another story. But if I'd be single with no intention of getting together with anyone and the right to pleasure myself by my own, why not?
