I agree, Zak Starkey also drums with Oasis now and he is really good.Ringo is the LUCKIEST drummer in the world.
His son, Zak Starkey, is way better than Ringo ever was and currently playing with The Who. My brother, Kebo the drum tech, will be touring with The Cult this summer and they will be playing a string of European dates opening for The Who. He psyched as hell to meet Zak.Bryan

"Luckiest"? Far from it. Ringo Starr was already famous in Liverpool and in Britian in fact, before The Beatles ever got a recording contract. He wasn't randomly chosen to replace Pete Best on drums. I'm really not sure how the whole "it's enjoyable to make fun of Ringo" game started. Maybe it's his name. . .Ringo is the LUCKIEST drummer in the world.

Anyone who knows a thing or two about drum playing (I'm a drummer) and the famous drummers of rock 'n roll's past and present, knows that Ringo had an incredibly unique drumming style. He has also influenced generations of drummers including Phil Collins (one of my fav's) and Dave Grohl. I am not surprised Zak can play better than his dad, he learned from him.
