    http://www.kinkyamateurcontent.com is a scam, what do you do when you've been ripped?

    So, I've been ripped off for around $1000. What recourse do I have if someone promises content, you send them a money order, they cash it and never talk to you again? The guy who runs the scams name is "Steven", and he accepts payment under these names:

    Turner International Inc.
    Digital Models Inc
    Studio 7 Inc.
    A Digital World

    at this address:

    4509 N Malden Suite 2B
    Chicago IL 60640

    His email address is [email protected]

    He responded to his email within 5 minutes up until he recieved the payment, now nothing. I found another post by someone who he ripped off here: http://www.avspros.com/board.shtml
    just do a find for 'turner'.

    Can the police help here, or what?

              I found his site off of a webmaster board, i don't even remember which one because it was about 2 months ago. His prices were excellent and he had a legit looking site and lots of models to choose from and example pictures, movies, etc, responded to all his emails promptly... yadda yadda. Said his 'firm' had 14 people working for it. I just tried their phone # and it's disconnected. However, someone that other guy got ripped off by him in january so hes been picking up checks at that address for awhile.

                          I bought some content from him and got it ok, but just so happened that I lost the content when my computer was stolen the next week. I asked nicely if he could give me the link to redownload it but he wouldnt respond. You can catch him on aol IM but he never responds.

                                              I was scammed by Peter Stone who gives you two banners and claims they are your very own adult websites and the list goes on and on. I filed complaints and nothing happened. The best thing you can do is inform others and hope you can save someone else from being hurt. Using money orders is your first sign your getting scammed, if they had a legal business than they could process credit cards, then you would have had some recourse. Try having your money order traced and call the money order support line, but if you can't find them, well then, you can't punish them. I am sorry this happened to you. I have been taken a couple of times and it really sucks that some people can be so cruel.

                                                  If you sent them a money order for $1000, that would fall well within the definition of felony mail fraud. Try contacting a postal inspector with the complaint and, if you can reach the other person that got ripped off, encourage them to do the same.

                                                                          as far as documentation i got, none i guess? he showed me some movies and many pictures, and we set the terms for what i wanted the movies to be via email exchange, and i also included printed out instructions with my payment (per his request).
