That is the price you pay to live in AZ. Snakes are no big deal. If you leave them alone they will usually just go away. I hate the idiots that move to the desert and see a snake. The morons actually call the fire department to try and catch the snakes. I hate fucking creatures! They scare the shit out of meHe was on the sidewalk & I walked around him to my car before I realized I had my camera in my purse.
I wish I hadn't freaked out at first because I could have gotten a much better one if I were closer. By the time I got near he was making his escape.
Anyhow, I've lived in AZ all my life & I've seen a few little snakes but this guy was scary & just too close to my house

I totally understand the skin crawl thing..but for me its cockroaches that give me the willies. I can handle snakes, spiders, rats, mice really anything but those nasty little fuckers. I'm glad that you are safe!Yeah you're right! It was so close that if it was a rattler it definitely would have given me a warning to back off.
He was at the end of the sidewalk when I stepped out of my apartment all curled up, maybe 3 feet to the right of the walkway I come down.
Creepy creepy creepy. I wasn't worried about it trying to bite me, I know better, but snakes just make my skin crawl.
