Headlines say Imus got the boot, two-week suspension but final firing on the way!

There's so far you can take a joke and this time he went way over the top and he ain't gettin' outta this shit. I could see if he was some upstart newcomer but he's a seasoned radio broadcaster and there are far, far too many radio shows that espouse racist bullshit against all races, not just against blacks and latinos, but all races and it's gotta stop.

If you own a business and you or one of your employees espouses this stuff while on the job or representing your company, even in jest, you might as well count the days.

Lawyers love when people post racist or bigotted shit on websites and forums too.

Pretty soon you won't be able to say anything without it being used against you in a court of law.

I have a feeling this was just the thing CBS radio was looking for. His ratings are terrible and I think CBS is probably paying much more than his ratings are worth. This is a chance for them to dump him and look like the good guy and even get in the news with whomever they replace him with. I don't know that they will do that, but if they ever considered it now is their chance.

Actually I'm not. Basically since Stern left CBS radio they have done nothing but bleed money. They say Imus reaches around 2-3 million listeners a week on his show and he makes around 7 million a year (reportedly). That's a lot of money to pay someone for pretty poor ratings.

I was just saying if CBS wanted to to dump him, now is good time because it looks like they are not ditching a legend, but instead dumping a jackass.

Well the coffin nails are in on Imus. News just broke that Staples and another sponsor to his show are now out. More to follow.

When a show becomes a commercial liability and sponsors start pulling out you can hear the funeral music in the background.

The only way Imus is getting out of this is by a PR trick that of course
I have to send to the studio. Let's see if they accept it.
