www.thehun.com is the only GENERAL traffic site where I have spent money advertising that works.
Traffic is solid and you can usually bank on a good few signups for a paid listing.....
There are a lot of other factors that you need to consider but as as source of high traffic, you can't beat it....

I once had the #1 spot for 3 days. I must say that it where fucked up galleries with a dailler listbox on the gallery.
I had a total of 600 minutes with ncc. Brought me like $500,- and cost me something like that as well. I dont remember exactly.
My galleries where not good at the time, it was like : 'Ah, we have the #1 gallery spot in 5minutes

but i'm sure if you design a high converting gallery. It WILL bring you money...
