PS2, XBox or the Game Cube?

Each system caters to difrent type of gamers what kinds do you prefer?

All advice appreciated as I'm the one who is gonna give it most of its use. I personally am leaning toward the PS2 but only because I'm a Final Fantasy freak and wanna play the newest game ASAP.

XBox is cool (at least from the little I actually got to use it). It has a hard drive, so no more buying(and losing) those damn memory cards.

Sony PS2 is cool, too. But, they are working on PS3. The oldest boy says it will be out by XMas.

Sports games kick ass on XBox
I have PS2 and XBox in the house. I can't get near the XBox. PS2 is only used for some favorite games, and by me, on occasion.

Hmmm...we may have to fight this out then. I don't often find enough time for RGP although I love them but do play the odd shoot-em-up. She likes RPG as she said. Still, I got the car so can get to the shop first.....

Im sorry but my definition of a "game" isnt 6 hours of cutscenes and pressing X over and over again.IMHO FF7 was the best one out of the bunch and the storyline was excellent.The new FFXI will NOT do well due to the extra pricing for a network adapter and the requirement of buying a harddrive.
