    About droped domains

    Hi,
are there some domain brokers around to explain me about the droped domains with pr?
I mean i found some droped domains i can register right now, like
besteroticbook.com or besteroticbooks.com with pr4, but they worth something?
I don't want to broke with domains, just for me to register some pr ones.
Are there also some differents between pagerank types?
    Thanks in advance.
    Sam

The Page Rank is no good on them dropped domains, generally it resets to 0 once they are through the entire drop process.

For example I registered 2 off http://dirtydutchman.com/ last week that had PR (but registered them for the names, I knew the PR would be removed eventually). The Page Rank on them had updated to 'Grey' about 24 hrs after registering them again.

Really? I registered a PR 1 off of dirty dutchman 1 week ago and the PR is still there.

since you can't even spell "dropped" it's not for you.

It's not always the case but certainly is the case most of the time, which is why people looking for PR domains will typically specify they want non-dropped. I've managed sometimes to get domains that keep their pagerank after the drop, sometimes even for years, but most of the time they're going to lose the PR.

Domains that have PR may still have the links coming in that gave them that PR.

That's where the value may lie..

But you're right, better to buy some quality domains. Do you have some nice pr1-pr3 for me?

What's shown on the google toolbar is DELAYED, so the PR will show up fine till the next update, then more likely than not it will become PR0...

so really the domain is useless, it's really only good for scamming webmasters by selling them useless links...

No shit it's delayed. Even if the PR drops on the domains, it doesn't make them useless, case in point the domain I recently purchased with PR is already getting good SE traffic.

Pr is no more so important (if it's not above 5 or 6)

It's still very important if you want to trade/sell links.

As I've always understood it you'll lose everything Google has given that domain but it can be easier to get back if other sites did not drop the links that got the site to that PR. So you can already start out with some good link juice.

I've never bought a dropped domain though and I may be wrong.

If the pr is from true backlinks that might be still bringing the site traffic. It could be worth something.

This might be true if you only buy dropped domains for the PR value. A dropped domain can still have It's in links and thus keep some juice which will make them better for SE marketing than a complete new one.
