Banks are a dime a dozen, ePassporte is a staple part of the online adult industry. I don't use it regularly but way too many people rely on it 100% to just walk away. They'll never be the same and lose anyone who had options, but if they do get things working again I am sure plenty of people will remain using them.

Otherwise someone needs to take the ball into their court and become a new standard. No one is exactly jumping at this opportunity, and there are definitely companies that could be.
