first 1/2 of the season? every season has been a little worse than the previous since they began. it went from "really amazing" to "pretty good" to "good" to "hmm, not sure what to think" to "that was a little dissapointing, hopefully it will improve" to "oh my fucking god!?! whats with all the retarded dream sequences"Comment

I'd say it got better and better over the course of the first five seasons, then it began a decline
The first half of this season was the pits, even though, I'd argue, the first three episodes of it were fucking brilliant.
After Tony regained consciousness it bottomed out fast. I mean rock bottom. Screenwriting 101 rock bottom.
Scenes that were literally there to do nothing but fill time instead of push a plot forward in some direction. Got to give them the benefit of the doubt though and assume that happened because they didn't know if they were going to get a second half of the season.
Dreams...yeah HBO's a sucker for dream/flashback sequences, but personally i don't mind them.BaDoink

i like it. i have all the dvd's... i start watching it and get drawn into it where i go on marathon sessions... then everytime i keep being reminded that it got worse and worse. the pause between 5 and 6 was long... then 6 finally came and it sucked. worth watching, but not a great effort compared to the early stuff. now i don't care if the final issues suck or not. i want to watch them... get a little closure and move on
