Opinions of AdultSiteCMS.com - WP paysite package?

I have not used it.

I did a site design and the client used them for the CMS after my design and css was done.

Thanks Zuzana - do you think it's a good package? I have a client interested in it but I don't want to waste his money.

The script owner was willing to work with the client and positive which is great in this business. It seems like it did everything the client needed and worked with the clients budget. I have never used the script personally so I don't have any feedback on the options and customization. All in all for the money it seems like a decent solution. When it comes to a CMS you get what you pay for I believe. I like to use companies that I know are going to be around tomorrow to help me if I have a question about their product. I?m also a big fan of writing your own CMS for projects in house so you get all the features you are after. Programmers spend lots of time creating these customized scripts and that?s why a good programmer is expensive but well worth the money.

Didn't the programmer stop updating this and giving support? I am not 100 percent sure and don't want to knock anyone. I just thing I remember seeing a thread about it. Use the search function to check.

That old thread was about our phone number not working for 3 days during the last Xmas break.

If you look at the thread you will see that the person who claimed to not be able to get a hold of us, never sent an email, ICQ or anything.

It’s true that you get what you pay for, however, I believe that the adult world is changing and that a CMS should be just that (a way to manage your content - simple and easy and inexpensive.)

It’s really a tough market now especially for newbies.

On the question of Wordpress "and it’s issues."

It is true that Wordpress can be hacked (if you do not update it or have security holes - just like any other program), but remember this is a custom version completely (especially for the tour and unprotected areas.)

You must make sure you have your CMS with the correct permissions and also update to the latest versions.

We have added IP Blocking and many other custom ways to protect the admin.

Sorry for the confusion. I just did remember something about it. As mentioned I wasnt trying to knock anyone, just havent seen any posts about the CMS since that one. Was making sure the person asking had all questions answered.

I bought it for a domain - but after upgrading wp it disappeared. Contacted them on icq - but didnt hear back.

This is the bad with CMS based on WordPress if you upgrade the plugin can't work correctly.

There is alot of custom code that it requires in order to make it work.

The 1.0 and earlier 2.0 versions require a patch in order to upgrade. This is clearly outlined when we sell the product - we are very happy to make it work for any customer who upgrades their Wordpress.

We can also send them the Patch.

We DO NOT believe in just upgrading for the sake of it. Wordpress does an upgrade each month it seems. Our custom scripts over Wordpress have been designed to overwrite many of the security issues Wordpress has.

I didn't like the faq's and setup of it, but they are easy to reach and very eager to help their customers.
