    WEBMASTERS!! What kind of script do you want for free!

    I want to write a free script that a lot of webasters need.
    Hopefully they will click on my referral links in the scipt and I can earn some money for my efforts.

    BUT; what kind of script do you really need?

                          I need one, written in PHP, which will synchronize two databases residing on the same server.
                          Configuration must allow for a date to be set which will only synchronize entries older than X days (in valid MySQL DATETIME format).

                              Another one:
                              Need a script written in PHP which will connect to proxy list sites (which I define) via CURL, grabs all the IP addresses listed in the proxy list(s) and inserts them into a MySQL database table. This way, I can ban any hits from these proxies.

                                  Why does it have to be in PHP?

                                  PHP is just another language to do the same stuff that is done in a bunch of other languages.

                                          I would like to do something new. Statsremote could issue a php version so I don't think I should do that.

                                                              The voting script should allow surfers to vote on their favorite site or model (once a day), everyday until a winner is determined.

                                                                  I did that a few years ago and released it right when the 2257 shit scared the shit out of everybody and they changed their thumb TGPs into text.

                                                                  Plus it seemed like everybody who got the script didn't want any new sponsors since I didn't get a single webmaster referral sign up from about 50 sponsors I had embeded in the script.

                                                                  I might revive this script though...I'll think about it.

                                                                      BUT it needs to run on multiple domains/sites with only one installation. it should collect the stats by adding "auto_prepend_file /path_to_script.php" to each sites htaccess file.
                                                                      of course should the script have as much details as possible. with the option to see each visitors history.

                                                                              That's an easy one for me to do; I can pull most of the code from stuff I already have. So I will probably do sometihing like that.
                                                                              It seems like only a small niche though and I would like something that 1000 webmaster really need.

                                                                                          A free, easy to use fake TGP tool.

                                                                                          Something where I can enter an admin, add a link to a gallery, add a description and add a thumbnail (bonus points if I can crop the thumbnail straight from the admin). Then, I can simply put a few lines of code to show sections of say four rows by six columns (customizable). And then every day or every two days, it rotates new galleries.

                                                                                          If it tracked clicks out and gave the option to create a section of the most popular galleries, that would be awesome.

                                                                                                      The example i used was for solo model sites but you can apply it to vote on entire sites as an interactive tool for surfers. Then it would open it up to thousands of webmasters in many niches.

                                                                                                                              How about an open source members area CMS that kicks ass! I haven't found any robust CMS's that you don't have to pay free or even a decent price. Most will be couple thousand dollars.

                                                                                                                                                                              We released a totally free adult only hardlink exchange script about a year ago, the first one that was on the market. No skimming, no own links added, only webmaster referral banners on the submit page and after submission. So, not a single surfer lost. We thought we'd be nice and didn't encrypt it since many hosts offer php without zend.

                                                                                                                                                                              What happened:
                                                                                                                                                                              About 70&#37; of the webmasters using it removed our banners or replaced our affiliate IDs. 20% Changed the whole script in one way or another. It was republished 5 times under different names, 1 guy tried to sell it. That's the result after going through about 200 copies we found running, probably there are alot more. At the end, some spammers found the script and spammed all sites they found using it with daily auto submissions.

                                                                                                                                                                              What we learned:
                                                                                                                                                                              - Most webmaster don't accept any ads, even if they get something for free, they prefer fucking you and violate copyrights, as you see above, 90%.
                                                                                                                                                                              - 21 webmaster signups via our ID, one "active" who made us about 20$ total, great, enough for two happymeals and an extra drink !

                                                                                                                                                                              The end:
                                                                                                                                                                              We closed down the download and trade database and are working on a paid version, since we got alot of other projects going and it's not first priority, it will take a few more months. We spend 80% of the work on making it cheat proof, it will re-check backlinks every day, it will have a blacklist feature, it will detect autosubmitters, it will verify PR and backlink via multiple methods, it will stop wroking as soon as any code is modified, every copy has a unique hidden ID and we have a lawyer ready to sue everybody trying to fuck with us again.

                                                                                                                                                                              It's a shame, we are sorry for all the honest users. It was our idea to give webmaster something to save time, make more money and make us a bit from referrals, a win-win situation...but reality showed it was a terrible mistake to assume that most other webmasters have any business ethics.

                                                                                                                                                                              Yes, still angry when thinking about it, we are no newbies in this industry, but you'll never run out of bad surprises in adult.
