Our winters are extremely cold so I rarely leave the house. Just for food and to visit the bar. I shower right before I go to the bar.

To me a shower is up there with a cup of coffee - the day doesn't really begin until I've had both.
Many years ago however, I lived in a place that required bathroom renovations, and for a week or so I did not have access to a shower. I had to make due with a sink and washcloths. It sounds ridiculous, but I was still able to get totally cleaned up - it took much less time - and it save many gallons of water!
If this poll were conducted in each country separately, I bet the results would be much different.
I'm guessing one or two hot showers or baths a day is another one of those "Excessive American" things.Comment
