The whole idea of "free" wire fees is sort of a Red Herring as virtually all banks have a base charge for both domestic and international wires. If a sponsor is not charging you the wire fee, that same sponsor is making up for the cost elsewhere, most likely in lowered payouts.

There ain't no free lunch and besides, if you have money coming in, what is better, the speed and security of a wire transfer or having your money sent to something like ePass or even worse, waiting around for a mailed check, so that you can then wait even longer to make certain that the check clears?

I sign up for wires whenever possible, regardless of the cost.
