    What's the cheapest SUV?

Need a new car, what's the cheapest new SUV on the market at the moment? Need something that can tow a jet ski or two. Shopping this weekend so any help is appreciated.

I am not interested in anything more than the cheapest one. If I was going to get mediocur it wouldn't be an SUV

if you own your own business you can get up to 70 percent back on an suv if it weighs over a certian weight, i forget how many tons it has to way but i do know the esclade quilafies.... so you can be rolling in one for dirt cheap!!!

Ram Pick-up for heavy towing. Many around here have those Hyundai Santa Fes, they are cheap.

Stay clear from Navigators. I had one, biggest piece of junk on earth.

Go to a used car dealer and get yourself a Jeep Cherokee.

Try to find one with less than 100,000 miles and you are good to go for a few years...

The big thing I would check for is a worn out rear end.

Take it to a parking lot. Put it in reverse and drive backwards making tight turns and give it a bit of gas. Then do the same thing in drive. If the rear end is going out you will get popping noises and/or it will feel like your rear end slipped out on you. Like someone nudged the back of the car.

I mention this only because I assume you are buying a 4x4. It might have actually been used as one at some point.

Fixing this problem is $1800 out the door or $600 for the quick fix (restamping the gears).

If that was the only thing wrong and I was getting one for $6K to $8K I would probably buy it anyway and throw it into the shop.

I'm pretty sure it's 6000 pounds. Also, I think you have to use it at least 50% of the time for business purposes.
