Actually I would argue that the testaments, the quran, and the gnostic texts are all "somewhat factual". I mean there is no PROOF of the big bang, you cant even prove it scientifically yet it is taught and many people believe it. The point is you completely discount religious texts from that region as inaccurate based on your feelings about religion.Comment

I don't discount that there are elements of these texts that may contain historical facts. But you cannot use them as conclusive evidence of the existance of Jesus Christ. You need external confirmation from secular sources. There are a couple but as I said they are disputed as interpolations and mistaken identity. There are many who believe that Jesus Christ is pure myth.Comment

Fact is you are very outnumbered, 55% of the world believe Jesus existed historically without a doubt(all Muslims and Christians) and 80% of Americans believe Jesus existed without a doubt.

You give Jesus WAY too much credit for being important to the Romans. The Roman never thought for a second that Jesus would be remembered and worshipped for thousands of years.

I am not asking you to "believe" everything in the Bible or any other text, that is up to you to determine if you believe works of text like Wikipedia are false or truth. Obviously somewhere in the middle is more likely the truth.Comment

I only believe something in wikipedia if it is referenced and backed up by other sources. The fact Jesus get a few mentions in the Quran just tells me that myths spread. The Quran paints a completely different picture of jesus than the new testament. You can believe one, the other or none. That doesn't change the fact that evidence of jesus historicity is poor.Comment
