You're kidding right? The greatest performer? He is not by far the greatest performer. What was he doing that was so great when you saw him? When I saw him in '99 I didn't see anything extraordinary about his performing skills. Although he is great at getting the crowd going.
If you want to talk about great performers, you'll be mentioning Rob Zombie, Korn was pretty decent, KISS was fabulous, Marilyn Manson knows how to put on a great show, Godsmack mopped the whole damn floor, Aerosmith doesn't do too bad either. AC/DC is good, but at about the same performing level as Ozzy.
I'm not putting down Ozzy at all, I just think you have him on the wrong pedestal.

Soul_Rebel thanks for the comp.
Morrison was one of the most influential singers and stage performers of his area. He basically was the new raw badboy of rock that later generations emulated i later years.
Maynard James Keenan!!!!! His voice kicks my ass's ass!!! So much intense passionate anger delivered through intricate vocal melodies. Tool is just amazing (insert bad "tool " joke here) .
You are 18, you will never understand the glory that is Ozzy.
That fact that you put Korn on the list only means you should be drug into the street and shot.
Kids, I wish I had a permit to kill them.
[Labret] I'd like to personally apologize for the school system that served you. They completely fucked up to allow an illiterate punk like you pass the second grade.
If you could read correctly, you would have noticed that I listed Korn as a decent performer. I mentioned nothing of their musical talent. And for the record, they're fucking sell outs.
Now go back and suck your mommy's tit, it's past feeding time.

Unfortunatelly, i haven't seen Ozzy live but i do know from tapes he drives people crazy easily. Morisson was by far better performer for example, but this will degrade him since Morisson was more things than a simple performer, singer, he was a real poet. Jagger is fantastic performer toom, even now in his age. Most young singers would get a heart attack if they follow him not for 2hours concert, but for 20min. But again Jagger is a genius, great singer, performer, businessman, leader of the largest rock back on earth.
Of course, these are personal opinions and what i love you might hate it or vice versa.
Ozzy has something unique....i mean....he is OZZYYYYYYY!
some singers I have seen in concert that kicked ass:
Paul Rodgers - (Bad Company, The Firm) - greatest rock voice I ever heard
Billy Gibbons + Dusty Hill - (ZZ Top)
Roger Waters + Dave Gilmour - (Pink Floyd)
Jon Anderson - (YES)
Robbie Robertson - (The Band, solo)
Geoff Tate - (Queensryche)
Eric Clapton - (DUH)
Geddy Lee - (Rush)
John Bush - (Armored Saint + Anthrax)
The kind of music you listen to will influence your favorite picks. Also, I am only going to mark out for guys who can pull it off in concert (and here, as vocalists). Too many acts sound killer in the studio but sound like they need oxygen when they perform their own songs live (Rob Zombie comes to mind)
Neil Young and Brian Johnson kick ass, but I don't think they are great singers (even though they did sound good live). I saw Mototrhead in a tiny all ages club in NJ. Maybe it was the club, maybe it was the sound system, but they sounded like shit. (and I have Live At The Hammersmith so it's not like I was expecting something like CREED)

Sell outs? Like at some time in the past Korn were some underground band with a cult following?
That was MTV numetal groomed for your shitty generation. Thats like saying Linkin Park are sellouts. You cant sellout if your target audience is already 16 year old girls and fratboys.
Soul_Rebel hit the spot with M.Faithfull "Broken English " is awsome......on of my all time fav. records
another canadian who didnt get the recognition she deserved Dalbello.
Huge in Europe(norway anyways)...
as far as sounding just as good live as in the recording studio... the best I've ever heard is Joe Elliot of Def Leppard..... their concerts rocked and their tunes were solid.... alot of people can use the recording studio to cut a killer track, but when you hear them on stage, they generally suck.... not the case with Def Leppard. (even though it's ancient hair band history now)
Sick fuck. I used to work at the store that found all the kiddie porn on his laptop. Shame I didn't work there at the time - the deputy manager was offered approx $50,000 by a tabloid newspaper for a copy of the security video showing Gary Glitter being escorted out of the building in handcuffs.
You hear that kid they have singing for them now? They got him from a Judas Priest cover band. Kid sounds so much like Halford its creepy. Seriously. Creepy.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

yeah true, specially most of today's artists are a piece of shit....they shouldn't allow them to get out of studio!
the live version of stairway to heaven that i had downloaded from kazaa (not sure which year it is from) kicks major fucking ass. everything about it sounds better than the studio version... guitar, vocals, everything.
A few more to throw out:
Annie Lennox
All the Beatles
Robert Palmer
Weird Al
Ben Folds
Ed Kowalczyk (from Live)
Alanis Morrissette
Elton John
Simon LeBon (hey, I'm an 80's kid)
Perry Farrell
Bob Marley
Gotta agree, Maynard kicks eveyone's ass. Got all the Tool CD's in my changer in the Expedition and I rock out to them everytime I go somewhere.
