Why do so many str8 programs make it impossible for affiliates to be 2257 compliant?
Ok so I've been mucking around in breeder programs for a while now, and I've noticed something:
A TON, I'd even say a MAJORITY, of str8 programs make it absolutely impossible for affiliates to be 2257 compliant.
Now I'm not talking about giving out docs on their models, I certainly understand why programs won't do that (I never did with AlleyBucks).
But LAWDS MERCY breeders!
1. A ton of programs have ZERO banners available that don't feature hardcore content. I realize that these banners in some cases will get more clicks, but making ZERO non-sexually explicit banners available to your affiliates? Can't be compliant with some anal gangbang banner on your sites.
2. A ton of programs have FHGs that have 100% hardcore images. As we all know, you can't crop a sexually explicit image to make it non-sexually explicit and expect that to fly. There needs to be non-sexually explicit images in the FHG for people to crop gallery thumbs from. So can't be compliant there either.
3. RSS feeds. I've yet to find ANY RSS feed that didn't start trolling out sexually explicit images. Can't be 2257 compliant with a blog filled with hardcore images from your sponsor's RSS feeds.
I realize a lot of affilaites aren't based in the US, and I realize that a lot of affiliates that ARE in the USA are just ignoring 2257 thinking "they won't come and get me over a tgp/blog/ etc. etc."
But SOME of us try to obey the law, and it'd be nice if there were some sponsor programs on the str8 side that recognized that and provided support.
