Damaged is a bunch of thieves.

Let me guess, they put up your titles for VOD and either:

a) did it without your permission
b) are not paying you
c) sold it to a content broker illegally

DVD distributors aren't mentioned often on GFY, but this kind of thievery has become common with DVD companies. Most are not making any money, so they decide to steal it.

It becomes rather tricky with studios because distributors have the rights to re-distribute many studio's titles. For example, BMF Media has the rights to distribute many studios. The problem lies that when we sign a new studio that we may already have some of their content from, they want payment on it or there may be discrepencies with who has the rights to the videos.

With proper paperwork and contracts we can get to the bottom of this easily. Joel has been emailed with the steps to take to ensure his content is being protected by Yappo.com and YappoDollars.

I'm giving Damaged the benefit of the doubt that they'll react to the situation quickly, so I'm not going to say publically exactly what the situation is, but I will however say that I'm far from impressed at this crossroads.

Also check with http://videobox.com. They pay to license DVDs and have some Damaged titles on there.
