A very wise friend of mine told me that something was coming with epass a few months back. Fortunately I passed in this info to a friend who had roughly 30-40k sitting in his which he was able to withdraw before this happened.
For this reason I always withdrew my money immediately after receiving it. Unfortunately I received one of my largest affiliate payments of the month at 10pm last night and by the time I went to the ATM today the funds were already locked.
I don't have a clue as to what is going on but IMO this is not going to be solved anytime soon so I am just going to take this as a loss. A loss which will effect my domain renewals, hosting bills, etc for the next few weeks.
What is next in store for the incredible adult industry? I don't think I am going to wait around to find out. Anyone on the market for buying up networks? Peep the sig.

Just a guess as I don't have an ewallet account but I'm betting a debit card tied to an offshore account smelled like money laundering.
Just a guess but Visa and the Obama admin are serious about untraced (untaxed) fundsLast edited by 12clicks; 09-02-2010, 07:13 PM.I'm not a dinosaur, I'm a crocodile. I've seen dinosaurs come and go and I'm left unimpressed.Comment

Visit link for moreJustice Richard Williams has directed the depositors and shareholders of TCI Bank to vote on a rescue plan offered by two Eastern Caribbean banks that would return all money to most bank customers.
However, Financial Services Commission (FSC) is now saying St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank Ltd. and National Bank of Dominica Ltd. must deposit $18.5 million before it will approve the plan. The plan on which depositors and shareholders will vote only offers $12.5 million, but it allows for the plan to be modified.
If depositors and shareholders approve, the plan still must be approved by the Eastern Caribbean bank's boards of directors and central bank, as well as the FSC.
The plan on the table would allow all deposit accounts to have access to up to $50,000 during the first 90 days after the bank reopens. The banks say that covers approximately 97 percent of TCI Bank?s depositors.
All other depositors will be required to leave their funds in the bank for up to five years, earning an interest rate of 1.75 percent per annum from the day the new bank opens its doors.
The Financial Services Commission closed the bank in April and called in provisional liquidators after a number of large withdrawals were made from the bank that was already overburdened with non-performing loans. It was the only indigenous bank in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The Eastern Caribbean banks were one of three groups offering rescue plans. If the rescue is not approved, the bank would go into full liquidation, and depositors would get back only pennies on the dollar over several years, liquidators have said.

I guess this isn't the case. I was just told by someone who is currently processing through SKNB that their visa transactions are going through just fine. So this is just an epassporte related issue and not bank wide.SharkyComment

Michael, it would be nice if you replied to this. Are you going to cover our funds?I think some people have their hopes set too high. I might not be an expert on how banking works but I don't see this being resolved in a timely manner whatsoever.
What I, and I'm sure everyone else, would like to know is this... what exactly are you guys going to do to ensure people don't lose their money? Replying with things like "we're working on it" just doesn't cut it... not when you, for all intensive purposes, hold the livelihood of so many people in your hands.
There is no reason that you guys shouldn't be able to
a. lock out the virtual visa thing entirely until the issue is resolved
b. cover all funds that are currently locked in the virtual visa accounts and make said funds available in peoples wallets.
I know the shit just hit the fan, but when you're the... middle men (sic)... between someone and their money then your first priority should be making sure those people can get their money. Saying "sorry, your funds are fucked at the moment" is completely unacceptable IMHO.Comment

Just luck - he told me a couple months back to switch my account to receive in the wallet rather than VISA. I did, and glad I listened because I don't use ePass that much, just the simple transfers and used the VISA once to pay hosting.Comment

Hi Everyone,
For all webmasters that get paid by check, please do not deposit them. There is an industry wide issue with WebmasterChecks company.
This company handles the check payments for our affiliate programs. The checks they have sent will likely not process.
Please contact us directly to setup alternative payment methods immediately. We will take every step necessary to make sure all fees are covered for returned checks.
It is our understanding that all wires and epass payments for last period have been sent properly. If for some reason, you have not received payment; let us know!
Please contact Nick directly :
[email protected] and we will make sure everything is sorted out immediately.
Thanks!Comment

I do not use ePassporte, however when I saw the original poster mention St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank, an immediate red flag went up.
Some of you may remember the name (Robert) Allen Stanford, who ran the second largest ponzi scheme behind Bernie Madoff, reportedly ripping people off for $8 billion.
Stanford kept most of the money he stole hidden in Caribbean banks, and now the people that he ripped off are suing Stanford related banks to get their money back.
Google the bank name and Mr Stanford's name, or the bank name +"money laundering", corruption, scam, or several other words associated with bad/illegal banking practices, and, well, let's just say it doesn't look good.
I hope everyone gets their money...

Yup, and im sure biz as we know it will come to a screaming hault for brokers/ad companies that buy ads etc and epass and visa is to blame. Mark my words. If this does not get fixed within the week, epass or visa will be responsible(however you look at it) for so many people losing sites/wanting to sell there sites/ and people going out of biz or losing worse(rent, bills etc).SKYPE#: davievegas - email: ddmedia702[at]mail[.]comComment

Hmm ok, sounds to me that someone other than Visa want to look into the money trail here.Comment

IF and only IF epassporte warned us that IF we ever get shut down by visa, put your money in your wallet so you can transfer it out then I would of done that as many others. This is the obscene part about it. IF you use epass wallet then you can wire to ur bank. WTF uses wallet? The difference never made sense and no one that i know ever thought to use it. No perks for using the wallet and no reason to accept to maybe make sure your money didnt get stolen if you lost your card or whatevr. Another nice way to fuck us.SKYPE#: davievegas - email: ddmedia702[at]mail[.]comComment
