    There are so many incompetent sponsors...

    It seems like I'm trying to get ahold of sponsors nearly everyday to have them fix things on their sites that'll prevent me from making sales. Broken links, missing pictures, database errors, etc. Mostly ccbill programs that have good niche content.

    Do these companies just not care to keep their business running smoothly? It wouldn't take more than a few simple sanity test scripts to keep 90% of the problems from going unnoticed for so long.

      Are there specific programs? I've contracted for or worked directly for a few big ones over the years and they had all of us rooting through the sites almost every day looking for broken images, etc. I'm actually surprised to hear this.

          Tons of them have no idea; they use CCBill, had their Nephew's Best Friend Who's Really Good With Computers set them up with a site, bought some non-exclusive content.. and stopped giving a shit when it took more than a week of passive promotion to rake in the billions of dollars.

          Really, if done right, it requires LITTLE Q&A, but that's usually where the adult industry falls flat: Only people with fat bankrolls feel they can afford administration and Q&A.. the rest do it themselves, or to the cheapest offshore they can find.. who are somehow on the internet through the graces of a desert oasis phone.

              Actually most of the small ccbill sites are not run by companies, but by individuals (and often enough they have a "9-5 job" too).

              Yes, it's taking time to email them about the problems, but I've found it worth it (always been making most of my money with small ccbill sites nobody else cared enough to promote)

                  Having EVERYTHING in house makes for better programs I think (aside from reps or writers). I should shut the fuck up because I am the only remote employee...... everyone where I work are all in the same office and they are like robots, work 7 days/week. When you outsource, you are at the mercy of someone else's schedule, but an employee is obligated to get his/her ass up in the middle of the night to fix boo-boo's.

                  PS. CCbill is one of our billing proggies and I don't have anything bad to say about them. Maybe you just had a streak of bad luck with programs that only work 9-5, M-F ???

                          True, but who knows how much more we both would have made if they had proper QC in place.

                          Not only small CCBill programs unfortunately. :/

                                      the number of competent sponsors is vastly outwieghed by the number of incompetent affiliates.
