I am with alex on this. Stealing traffic and signups for this long then deciding not to because it's not cost efficient anymore definately does not warrant a thanks, good job or an kudos at all. To me ethics>money anyday and the prolonged use of zango is unethical at the least.

Another intriguing aspect is that when AFF was first exposed using Zango, Lars came out and said that revenue generated represented a very small amount. Makes one wonder why they would endure six months of public relations hell, lose dozens of affiliates, and do permanent damage to their company reputation if it was all over just a small amount of money. My guess is it was either a much larger amount than Lars led us to believe or they had placed a substantial deposit with Zango and weren't going to lose that by quitting them.

what he said was that he was doing it in self defense to protect their own URL's from being bid on (ignoring the fact that 15-30 people are bidding on it). then he explained further that it was an insignificant amount of traffic to play it down and then continued on by explaining that it was a tiny, insignificant amount of traffic, totally irrelevant... but it was ok, because they just raised payouts.

NOW... "its just not profitable" - which contradicts everything they said from day 1 and should remind people that they were in fact, just fucking their own affiliates over for their own financial benefit. what does bidding .10 on your own URL's, to protect your trademarks have to do with being profitable?

I can tell you from what Lars told me before AFF admitted to zango... He said he didn't know what zango was until I brought this up. Obviously it wasn't his decission, I doubt he has the power to make big decissions since he only owns a very small percentage of the company.

You can go back and look, all of my orginal posts said " AFF ". I never said " Lars ". I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he had nothing to do with it. That all changed when a couple weeks later he started trying to defend AFF's use of zango by saying he was forced to use it, said it was no different than a pop up, started insulting people, calling us sheep, laughing at us, bragging, etc.. At that point, I felt he was just as much to blame since he supported/defended it, even if he wasn't the driving force behind it orginally. I think most people feel this way about him as well, because of his actions, not because of AFF using zango.

Take his latest posts, he still has the same attitude. Nothing has changed.
