A friend of mine was over here the other day. She is very active in various social networks and whatnot, but wasn't exactly up on everything. She uses IRC, but never though of it's potential.

So I got her to log onto a major IRC server as "Lisa14F" and to join up with a channel called "cleanteenchat" or something similar.

She got about 20 private chat requests within seconds, and almost every one of them wanted to trade pictures within the first 10 messages.

She was shocked.

The internet is truly filled with pervs. My job is to sell them porn

i hate to break it to you but those 20 private messages were most likely bots trying to root you. join any channel on a major irc network and you're gonna get spammed to shit with trojans, viruses, etc.

vvg: The messages were not a bot. Her Myspace says 17 years old. She asked to chat on MSN. My girlfriend said yes (thinking she was legally old enough and mentally old enough!). The MySpace chat was just a general thing, so Perrie (Twisted Girl) just thought she'd chat to the girl. Then on MSN, the truth came out and she started asking questions about doing 'cam' stuff... Perrie asked how old she was... she said 15. Perrie then told her she'd not be doing anything, and was shocked that she'd asked. Etc etc.

I cant' see why I'd make this up. It was kind of supposed to be a post about the youth of today. lol.
