As a veteran traveller of thailand and former resident of Pattaya, Samui, and Phuket I figured I should weigh in here.ha
I absolutely love Pattaya as well as the gorgeous southern islands and yes there are plenty of bar girls in Phuket and Samui but there are WAY better girls in Pattaya, FAR more of them and you can find those rare gems that are very hard to come by in other cities.
By the way I don't pay for sex when Im in Pattaya...I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret that very few people know about. You can meet beautiful, sweet, educated, non-hookers from good families in Pattaya. Every weekend (and even weekdays during certain parts of the year) there are hundreds if not thousands of Thai tourist girls from middle class families that drive to Pattaya from Bangkok to cut loose on holiday. These girls are not whores, they have real jobs or go to school in Bangkok and they party and get wasted with their girlfriends at the nightclubs in Pattaya. Most of these girls have college degrees, speak fluent english, have great style and many even have nice cars. They love to meet western guys, especially Americans, most are incredibly sweet and fun to hang out with and of course they like sex, although sometimes it may take a little time and effort to get them into the sack ( most are looking for relationships, careful not to fall in love )
So how to find these non-pro hotties you ask?hahere's the secret: go to the big dance clubs on the walking street in Pattaya, of course every club is FULL of hookers BUT you must learn to tell the difference between a pro and a Thai tourist girl...here's how; hookers are often by themselves or with other girls that aren't really drinking much, they may have a beer or cocktail but they are nursing it and not really drinking. Often they are standing up by the tables and not dancing much... however the thai tourist girls are down on the dancefloor getting wild, throwing back cocktails like water and they are having a great time with a pack of other hot girls...also they don't make eye contact, that's a dead giveaway- if a girl is looking around at guys and looks you in the eye - chances are she's a pro.ha
You have to dance man, get down there and start dancing with the packs of girls that are having fun and drinking if you want to meet a non-hooker...strike up a conversation on the dance floor and buy the girls drinks..there are LOTS of great non-whores but they are picky too - it helps to have some good looks and style that's for sure (clothes matter) these tips don't apply to fat slobs and older dudes (30's 40's ok if you're a goodlooking dude)
