After more testing (running reports) it appears there is in fact a bug in the "Form Hits" report (on this old data)
I just ran about 50 or so daily "Form Hit" reports in 2008.
The form hits stay the same for each day for a week at a time. From Sunday to Saturday they will stay the same.
Then the next week on Sunday it will change again and stay the same all week until the following Sunday.
Again the transaction reports show different for each day and this appears to be showing on old data.
I tested this current month (Aug 2010) and the form hits are showing different for each day.
IMO this is nothing to worry about as far as any missing sales or any wrong doing.
