    Besides ban by cookie and IP, how some website can ban you ?

      Between cookie and IP that's all they got to identify you unless you're an idiot and try to re-use a banned email address or some other thing. Some really advanced sites may be able to ban based on mac address.

      Supposedly there is a separate flash cookie that can also be used to identify a return visitor.
      - As soon as I think up a good sig it's going here.

        Generally banned users on forums who return with another account give themselves away with posting style and referring to things ages ago that anybody new wouldn't know about.

          btw. and how about banning by MAC address and HDD serial number.... ? do you know any other ones besides that two ?

            There was a site with a script giving a sort of unique number based on installed fonts and other things but I can't think of it now.
