What are some Date Entry Rates???

I have 1112 custom entries that I need copy and paste over to a new WordPress site.

How much is it per entry or job to have it properly transfered?

Since, it is custom entries, the WordPress import doesn't work. Also, the site I am dealing with has an exotic hack on every page.

$1 for 100 words is what I charge for writing something new.
If it is just copy and paste, the price would be cheaper.

On that type of work I would always do a few myself it see how long it takes, then double that time and work out a unit rate based on $10 per hour.
You have to remember that they won't work at the same speed as you also nobody can work flat out hour after hour.

If it's definitely got to be done manually I can see it being $200+ just because of the monotony unless you can find someone desperate that will under-price themselves because they are starving.

              200+ sounds pretty cheap.

I was thinking about .50 cent per entry which comes to about 562.50

If I could see it first and make sure it wouldn't drive me insane I might bite your hand off at $562.50 and do it myself.

A programmer should be able to read the input with a script, and create a standard file output containing the values that can then be imported automatically.

If not xml, then maybe csv and using a plugin like this one:
                    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/csv-importer/

unless "an exotic hack on every page" is an obstacle
