anyone ever bought anything from apple's refurbished department? I'm wondering how a refurbished iPod would be. they are supposed to be basically made back to new quality and they come with a 1 year warranty. anyone have experience here?

my friend got a refurb macbook....looks idential to my brand new 1 and it runs great. hasnt had a problem in 2 months....

Haven't bought a refurbished iPod but lots of other stuff, from a Dell latpot to an old Pismo once, up to a Nikon D100. It's a good way to go when you know you are going to beat the shit out of certain pieces of equipment.
So far no probs here, everything is still up and running even the 7 years old Pismo Power Book.
On the other hand we've bought lots of new stuff that quit after a week, or so.Jenny Seemore
