The ZO6 is already about as close as you get to a street legal race car.
The ZO6 is better then the viper in every class, and depending on where you live will depend on what one will get you laid more. Around here vipers are for arrogant pompous assholes and will not get you laid.
Although around here if you want the 18-24 girls you need a riced out civic or a crotch rocket.

As a previous owner of both... I recommend the Vette.
Although the viper at times is faster and attracts way more attention, I had numerous problems with it. Throughout 2006 it was being serviced 30% of the time. Some of that may be because of the f'd up roads in NYC but the rest was engine related. And believe it or not the dealer won't give you a loaner Viper just a 300 or the like. After, numerous discussions with owners waiting in the service area I wasn't the only one with these problems.
I've had 4 vettes, the latest being 06', it never needed service other than the basic.

I made the same decision a few years back. I went with the Z06 for ride ability. The Viper was very uncomfortable to me on the short test drives I took. I couldn't imagine a long trip in it. In my vette its like sitting in a recliner. Comfort and performance.
As far as power I had my tuner add a supercharger and other components to boost me in the 680 HP range at only 5psi. The power problem difference was then resolved.
I am happy with the vette but now I am thinking about selling it and going the way of the M5.Living in Virtual Reality

I've driven the Viper from NYC to Baltimore and needed to stop 6 or 7 times in a few hours because my back was killing me.
I also drove the Vette from NY to Tampa and only stopped for bathroom and food breaks...there's no comparison between the 2 in comfort.Comment

The correct answer is a new Shelby GT500 Cobra, much sexier and sounds meaner. You will save about $35k over the Z06 plus you get a much more comfortable car and a backseat. Spend a few thousand of that money you saved to mod it out and you will be just as fast as a Z06 too

You almost got it right. The red car is a Viper but the black one is a Countach not a Diablo. Here's another shot, a better look at the girl on the bike and a better pic of a Viper. Still haven't found a shot of a Z06.
