Finding one's self in an awkward situtation and then being happy that one does not own a gun implies that one has no self control. People who have no self control should indeed not own firearms as such people pose a danger to themselves and others.

Guns; technically firearms are far and away not the only lethal weapons to be found in a household.

I used to own a .38 and never shot anyone. I gave it up since I didn't it to be "alone" in my house in Miami when I'm in Cancun, and I certainly couldn't haul it back and forth on a plane.

it's not a bad idea having a gun in miami. We've only had like 9 shootings in the last 2.5 weeks (and those are the ones the news reports on)

i live in a peaceful place. and i don't like guns, i also refused to go the army because of that.
