If a friend of mine thought I was too much of a pussy to fight my own battles, I would be somewhat pissed at him showing me up like this.
Unless he was the dominant one of course........Comment

I'm currently working with Baddog through his hosting company for a very close friend, and trusted client of mine, and it's been quite the pleasurable experience. I can only quote what I know, and we have all been more than satisfactorily taken care of.

Time for me to jump in, as I'm the guy who contacted BADDOG for my boss and handled all the email communication, which apparently was hidden through support tickets and BadDog couldn't even decipher half of my messages due to this.
A few points....
1. Rollingthunder, thanks for your help. I know you were just trying to help.
2. Bad Dog, that "your report was impressive" was just bait. I wanted to see if you'd pawn it off like something special and you did. That was when I called you a joke.
You know where your so-called in house expert generated it, and it's not proprietary. Like affiliates sending out Ryan Deiss' recent report as their own, you should know better than to send a report like that and pawn it off as your own. Telling us it was $500 value is a complete crock of shit. All your "expert" did was plug in the domain. Many tools out there do that, Tanya spent maybe 3 minutes on it, depending on how fast she can type.
We were straight forward and told you we would be a big account, that the firm I work with is large and makes money, and your reply (instead of trying to help us and be professional) was "If you are multi-million dollar company don't scrimp on hosting."
Well, we were doing just that, but since you were unable to get your old ass off your commodore 64 and pick up a phone to help out, we were unable to move forward with you.
Oh also...I didn't know your SEO Expert was your wife. No wonder you were so guarded and got all mad when I asked for a five minute convo. "Her number is private and never given out."
Sounds like there are some jealousy issues there old man! In light of being respectful to your personal life I won't even go there.
My advice....
Get some people skills, take 5 minutes to get off GFY,and be pro-business. Answer questions like a human. Pull your head out of your ass.
FWIW, HostGator picked up the phone and answered my very basic questions in under five minutes and I signed up with them. These were the same questions you couldn't answer via email as you were too busy and wanted to charge me!
Better luck next time.Comment

Good point on rankings for SEO Hosting. You would expect to see them in their own waters.Comment

Actually no. I hate the phone. I used a total of 32 minutes last month on my cell phone plan.
I can totally understand someone not wanting to talk on the phone. Email me, IM me, text message me...and I typically respond right off. Ask me to call you and you'll probably be waiting a while to hear back from me.
They might not rank for SEO Hosting, but SEO HOST, SEO WEBHOST, SEO WEBHOSTING were three terms I just pulled out of my ass and they're in the top 5 for all of those. It's only fair that someone point that out.Last edited by candyflip; 08-05-2010, 07:41 AM.Comment

I am sorry, but I could not let this lie go past.
You told me you had 40 sites you wanted to move from Webair and you wanted to know how they should be cross-linked. By domain, niche, etc.
That would be a nice trick to do in a 5 minute telephone conversation.
I had already given you the basics:
As far as interlinking is concerned, if I go on the presumption that you have one money site and the rest are feeders for it, you should put the money site on a dedicated IP, by itself, and on a different C than the other sites.
You can then do one way links from the feeders to the money site. You can trade links between your feeder sites, making sure they are relative and they should be on different C's. That is a very general description, but it should give you an idea of how you would want to get started.
If I had seen this thread I would have told you I was not interested from the gate.Last edited by baddog; 08-05-2010, 08:11 AM.Comment

Of course I do.
Its pretty sad that a hosting company that has been up for years only has a pr4, and is horrible optimized.
Shit I have sites with pr4/pr5/pr6's and have been up less than 4 months, but then again I dont charge $500 for a report that a website spits out automatically.
Preying on noobs is what SEO hosting is all about, everyone knows this, their is no solid proof that multiple ips on different class c's has any benefit if you are doing a legit way.
Im sure good girl worked really hard at typing up a report that a website did for her.
I sure hope you stopped giving your customers seo advice, because it was really outdated shit you find on the web.

Serial complainers will always find something to bitch and moan aboutIf I had seen this thread I would have told you I was not interested from the gate.
What is pretty sad (and outdated) is you thinking toolbar PR is still relevant in any way

$300 = lucrative??? WTF?Really?
The report you sent him came off of one of those free sites which you enter your domains and it gives you info.
Forget about the ban, why do you keep being so confrontational? I never said you are a scammer, in fact my friend said you did refund him, you are just more of an asshole, bad business man and time waster. You turned a potential lucrative account into nothing just because you are a dick and would rather belittle the guy than help him set up on YOUR network.I could give two shits wether you read this sig or not.Comment

I am no fan of Baddog, personally he actually annoys the fuck out of me.
I had a seo virtual account with his company for a year and my account was opened in 24 hrs as promised and his support on the few issues I had was excellent and fast. I was notified ahead of time whenever a possible system upgrade was scheduled or when he would be out of town and someone else would be handling support in his absence.
Only reason I no longer have the account at his host is because I stopped using virtual accounts altogether and moved my entire network to dedicated servers and his dedicated server accounts were more than I had in my budget.
I have always recommended his hosting service and will continue to do so.
