    As I said, you are much worse than a drunk idiot who can't hold his liquor. You believe you have the right to put your hands on someone (especially a girl) because they won't "shut up when they are told to".

    You are obviously a man who has serious "mommy" issues which has caused you a great deal of problems throughout your life. I will leave you alone and not aggravate your "issues" further. But realize that you will "teach" the wrong person one day, and the name on the bullet will be yours (if the world is lucky)

                        On or off duty, he is still an officer of the law... And I doubt that the citizens would put up with him keeping his job, nor would a police department want to be looked at as one that sends the message that they defend the guy's actions by keeping him on the payroll...

                                    It's awful that he did that but what gets me is how long it took for him to get arrested...

                                    Abbate, 38, was arrested Tuesday night at his home. Bond said authorities were notified of the incident on February 21 but were unable to locate Abbate until mid-March.

                                    Does it really take a month to figure out someone is at their house. Way to go Chicago PD...

                                        That is what surprised me as well, that grown men would just watch that happen. Many years ago, there was this man whaling on his girlfriend. Freaked me out so I came up behind him and nailed him. Got me a punch in the face, but freaked him out enough to make him leave. Was worth a punch to make him stop. I was like 17 years old and maybe 110 lbs. Can't imagine being a grown man and just watching that happen.
