    very cheap domain registration

    Hi Everybody

I've checked up some domains registars.
while I'm very pleased with directnic.com services, it's still costing me too much money.
the following registars are charging between $6 to $10 per domain, depends on the ammount you register.
    godaddy.com, registerfly.com and srsplus.com
Do you know them, had any good or bad experience with them?
    Are they trust worthy?

    Thanks

Can you remeber what kind of problems?
I'm afraid that some of these companies will suddenly dissapear and I'll lose the domains.

if they are ICANN registered, you won't loose your domain names, even if they go out of business.

Did you get any discount from registerfly for registering large ammount of domains?
              Is icann the major broker?
are you sure godaddy is run by altavista?

              Thanks

I have been using registerlfly for a looong time. Maybe even 2 years (if they've been around that long). They started off good, but they seem to be overloaded or underfunded or something. Their support is about as useful as (insert something totally useless here).

I have moved over to namecheap.com

I'd also stay the FUCK away from stargateinc.com. Horror stories!

I second that. Namecheap all the way!
I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

Be careful... even if they dont go out of business youre still gonna have to pay to transfer them *one day* so youll end up paying more...

I did the same because I was tired of DirectNICs 15 bucks a pop, but then realized I wanted to transfer them to directnic because of shitty interfaces and wanted my old interface more, well it ended up costing me the 15 to transfer them, in addition to the 9 bucks a piece the registrar was offerin... ;)

Dont use registerfly. I've sent them 3 paypal payments a month ago, of which 2 have been ignored (stolen). Any attempts to contact them have gone unsucessful. Lots of emails were sent, trouble tickets were left and still nothing. I've been calling 5 days in a row starting last week and I get the same answer from the secretary - "He's out for the day".

Powerpipe is another cheap one. They're decent, but you can only edit one domain at a time. If you need to manage dozens of domains, then try someone else.

Funny to get this advice on directnic since after inquiring so much about the cheaper registars I finally decided to continue with directnic and registered another 40 domains today.
their interface is so damn friendly...
