Look I know that MADD has made "drunk driving" a hot topic. But let's get real...On Friday night at bars all around the country, people are going to be "drunk driving" by the MILLIONS.
Yeah, in New York or Los Angeles they might take cabs. But in small towns everywhere, people DRIVE to nightclubs or bars. Hell they don't even have real cab service in 99% of towns.
And they drink all night long, and then they drive home. Every weekend, by the millions.
On Friday night, drive by any club/bar. The parking lot is FULL. Who do you think drove there? Well, all of them will be legally "drunk" by the time they pull out of there.
It's always been that way since cars have been driven. It always will be that way.
All I see is a girl who the cops TARGETED. That's why she has multiple DUI's. And yeah, she's foolish to continue driving around town when she knows she is a target.
But in reality the cops could target a doctor, a judge, another cop, most any young person in their 20s, a middle aged housewife...and it wouldn't take long to give all of those people multiple DUI's with today's laws.
Anyway, I still don't see how she is doing ANYTHING that millions of other young people are doing all the time. The only difference I see is that she's a celeb and the cops are targeting her.
When I heard on the news that she got out of jail...and then IMMEDIATELY was "taken" to a rehab center...well, it's just beyond my comprehension. That girl just served her time (and yes, they do routinely shorten sentences for non-violent "prisoners") and yet the govt. is STILL running her life!
