    Some little punk ass kid spray painted a line down my car.

    Yeah, some little fucking douchebag kid spray painted a black line down the whole passager side of my beige car. I was standing in my kitchen and noticed 3 fucking punk teens walking by it and didnt pay any attention to them - walked outside and there it was, all down my car. Looks like total fucking shit now.

    Anyway, anyone know what type of compound or anything that will get spray paint off of a car without doing much, if any, damage to my original paint?

              I drove around my neighborhood looking for them after I saw the damage. They were nowhere to be found. What sucks is this is a pretty nice neighborhood - shit like this shouldnt be happening.

                                  This happen to me recently and the insurance guy use rubbing compound to get it right off. Didn't even need to file a claim. The clearcoating on the cars paintjob holds up.

                                      Depends on what sort of paint the used .. If they used engine paint, it isn't coming off.

                                                              go to walmart and get a can of "waterless hand cleaner" without pumice---the kind used by painters, printing press guys, and mechanics.

                                                              it is solvent based.

                                                              smear liberally on the spray paint and wait over night, then wipe off.

                                                                  and if that doesn't work use oven cleaner!! Just spray on, leave for 5 seconds and wipe off with a sponge or cloth. If that didn't work well enough leave it on a shade longer. If left on it can damage your paint, if wiped off quickly it will just remove the spray paint, so wipe it off when it just starts removing the spray paint! ;)

                                                                                      Some punk keyed my suv and about 4 other cars around our house about 4 years ago. My wife and I went all over the neighborhood talking to the kids there. Finally I was able to scare the name out of a couple of kids that I found eye balling my ride.

                                                                                      We called the cops and got witnesses to make statements. Needless to say if the punk had been 4 years older I would have avoided the police and smashed his fuckin' head in with a baseball bat.

                                                                                              all you need is some acetone and a rag... try it on a small spot first. Most spray paint is acrylic enamel same as fingernail polish and acetone will take it right off. If you have some fingernail polish remover there, try it out... its like 99% acetone. After you finish, wash your car real good.

                                                                                                                                      rubbing compound (or even polishing compound) ought to do the trick, especially if you keep a nice coat of wax on your car.

                                                                                                                                      I ran over fresh road stripes several years ago and got yellow paint all over my car, but because I kept a good coat of wax on it, all I needed to do was buff it off with some rubbing compound. I guarantee paint from a rattle can doesn't stick like road paint!

                                                                                                                                                          I used a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. It's a bleach pad I also use for removing crayon and permanent marker from walls. It worked great. Doesn't harm the paint underneath.
