I have been doing business with Clips.com/ hotmovies.com / movie dollars.com collectively known as National A-1 for over 6 YEARS!!!!

They are the fucking BOMB and some of the nicest and most trustworthy people in the Biz! EVERYONE who knows this industry KNOWS THAT!

James is the SHIT! And so are all his cohorts. Christ, they SPONSOR almost every huge event the industry has. Yeah, they are going to fuck their reputation because some idiot gives them "questionable content".

DVD420, you are a FUCKTARD, because as you quoted herein "In this case yes I have model releases for some of my content and a website license for the rest." That is PURE BULLSHIT. You need model releases for ALL your content AND having a "website license" from some other producer you "licensed" the content from does NOT give you the rights to use it for PPV or VOD unless STATED in License. And normal a standard "website" license does NOT.

I've made some good money already with clips4sale.com, they also have images4sale.com and videos4sale.com where you can sell your image sets and DVD's as well. The guy that runs it has answered every one of my emails the same day I sent them and within the hour in fact. I would say A+ for customer service. My rule of thumb is "Try and Die" or "Know and Earn" money that is. Clips4sale.com paid me already for last month. I got my money on time even before the 7th when checks are saposed to actually go out!!! Amazing site hands down.

I'd like to see the traffic numbers between C4S and Clips.

I know that Neil does a lot to generate a lot of traffic to C4S. I'm not sure where Clips ranks by comparison.

I was simply asking a question in this thread on this clips company. I've not said anything good, or bad about them since I haven't a clue about them. I can speak to Neil, and C4S.

I shoot my own content, and have for years motherfucker. So you obviously don't have a fucking clue who you are talking to.

As for your claims of "good money" if 40% of the take is good money, I'll stick with clips4sale.

I was emailed by a customer that bought custom videos from me, he told me he saw one of my videos on another clip site, that is how I found the site, well anyway I see my video being sold and doing very well, I email the site owner and get a fast reply, He said the person who listed the clip told him I let him list it LOL, I was like what the fuck are you talking about, the girls are exclusive and everything else, my clip stayed up there for days while I argued with him about my video being stolen. I said get a model release, get anything from him that says I let him do anything with it, the fucking video even had an old watermark on it from a domain I still own. I wasted a lot of my time to get that one video removed. Clips.com would go out of their way to protect me and my time. I am glad they look over the contect and make sure the correct person is listing it. Many big companies do not bother with the clips stores so it would be easy to slip a few in.
I make the same with both sites right now, yeah the clips4sale has more traffic and also has 300,000 clips on the site. Not sure on clips.com numbers but if they have 10 times less traffic and 15,000 clips you can do the numbers

So, how do these sites work? You just upload video clips and they provide the traffic and pay you for sales?

-You upload clips that you produce.
-They have a lot of traffic that comes to the main site, so you get some there. But you would want to generate some as well.
-You get paid a percentage per sale.

First off, the percentages do not correlate 1:1 with earned income. It's all an issue of traffic.

While we are currently in start-up mode, our hopes are that by offering clips.com to our vast affiliate base, we will quickly provide significantly more targeted traffic to clips.com than our competitors could ever hope to obtain.

That being said, traffic takes time to build. Hotmovies.com receives more traffic than any of it's competitors. The majority of our providers make more on HotMovies, than they do with any other similar programs. It didn't start off that way, but we've dedicated ourselves to building high quality traffic for Hotmovies.com. We have the same commitment with Clips.com. We are currently in the process of building our Google and other Search Engine traffic base. This takes time and money, which we have committed to invest. Search Engine and affiliate traffic will make Clips.com the leader in targeted traffic. All of which means more targeted traffic to the provider.

The other issue with traffic is conversions, and this can only occur with highly targeted traffic. This is something we've excelled at with Hotmovies.com. We are using the same traffic management skills on Clips.com. I would rather see our providers get 1 highly targeted hit, than 1000 non-targeted hits. This means more sales in the end.

So if I was making 60&#37; off 100 hits or 40% off 1000 hits, percentages have little to do with actual revenue.


Second, it's found money. If you make $500 on clips4sale, and only make an additional $50 on clips.com, that's still an additional $50 you wouldn't have had. Isolating your content to a single distribution channel only limits your revenue potential. We don't ask for exclusive rights to your content, because we believe you have a right to distribute your content in as many places as possible.

Personally, I would have my content in as many places as possible to maximize revenue.


Third, clips.com is run by a leader in the adult industry. That means you are partnering with a company that is trustworthy.

We do not sell off our sites for quick revenue. We provide real support from a dedicated support staff. We are a company of over 250 people, so we are not going anywhere anytime soon. Clips.com is obviously reputable. Hotmovies has been in business for years now and have never been questioned -as far as I know concerning payouts.
Clips4sale is a great model, but so is Clips.com. You'll make money on both.

I have stores on Clips.com and Clips4sale, and I am equally satisfied with both sites. Diversification is the name of the game.
