    trafficcashgold accepts spamming wm's

Today I received this spam mail:

    SEE US FOR FREE!

    Hi there,

Me and my slutty sorority sisters just put up our very 1st website.
We made our website to get us modeling jobs and movie deals, so it is FREE (for now).
ItÿFFFF92s an adult site with nudity and stuff, so no one under 18 please.

    It is 100% FREE!
GO HERE , check us out, and help us get discovered.

    XOXO Jenni

    including this link:

    http://64.38.223.107/splsh/np/

which promotes trafficcashgold sites, the account id : notepad

I went to trafficcashgold support site, got in touch with their LIVE support person and this is the transcript:

J.P.: Hello, how can I help you today?
you: I've received a spam mail from one of your WM's. Will you take care of it for me? Account id : notepad
    you: hello?
J.P.: What is the email address you signed up with?
you: huh? I didn't sign up with anything. Onw of your webmasters are sending unsolicited mails to me, promoting straponteens.com I can forward the entire mail to you.
J.P.: that's the only way I can remove you from our mailing list, if I have email address
you: So you're account 'notepad'??? And not one of your webmasters?
you: email address : [email protected]
J.P.: ok I put in a request for that email address to be removed from our companies mailing list
you: This is the url he sent to me:
    you: http://64.38.223.107/splsh/np/
you: Is account 'notepad' your own?
    J.P.: I'm sorry I do not know..
you: Don't you run doulbe opt-in mailing lists? How did you get my email?
J.P.: you must have requested to be on a mailing list from some company
J.P.: but I already put in the request for it to be removed
you: Damn, you're running a shady operation.
    J.P.: seems clear to me...
you: I will get other opinions from some of the adult WM boards, thanks for your time.
J.P.: you ask to be removed from the list, so I did so
J.P.: if it is from our company
you: I never opted in on ANY mailing lists with this email address. So you must have a problem somewhere
you: What I've seen other sponsors do when approached with a spam complaint is to ask for proof and then I normally get a reply that the offending webmaster is terminated from their program. But not you apparently, so I can only take it that you accept spamming as part of your business policy. That's the shady part.

So as you can see, J.P. didn't bother with the webmaster ID I provided, but would gladly remove me from their own mailing list and he could'nt answer if 'notepad' were their inhouse account or not.

Whenever I have the time, I try to kill a spamming webmaster, but when I get this kind of reply from a big adult company, I wonder if it's worth it.

JimmyF: Normally, this is what I do, but occasionally when I have the time, I like to shut down a fucker.

Evil Chris: What do you mean? That it was a spam directly from trafficcash? Well, from J.P's answers it could look that way, but why would they use an account id for it?

its all fucking bullshit. I get e-mails everyday telling me that I'm being sent porno spam cause I joined a list.

They use the "remove feature" as a way to pretend they are legit. They spam random people and pretend you joined a list at some point in time.

I don't know if it was from Traffic Cash but they COULD use the accout id for tracking. Makes it easier to see what list is producing.
I was looking for a job, and then I found a job

I never use the 'remove' option on a list as my email magically ends up on other lists after that. They sign you off from one, but sign you up to 5 others.

were sued by AOL for spamming by underage webmasters they hired to do the spam for them.
You'd think they'd learn their lesson huh.

                                AOL Settles Case against Spammer

(Personally I dislike intensely some of the people as CEN. They fucked me over on a partnership with them.)

I started a campaign this week - to get my emails removed from as many lists as possible - using the 'remove' feature. I've found that adult sites are actually MORE responsible about making sure the remove feature works, and taking you off immediately, than the non adult spam that I get. I can't tell you how many emails I've had returned as undeliverable.
And, of course, I haven't really seen much of a decrease in the spam I receive. I've set some filters on my email program to auto delete a lot of them

if you are sure that you did not requested to be on the mail list, do not hit remove button. This way you validate your e-mail address.

                                      Exactly.

A lot of the spammers put that remove thing on there just to see who responds through it. Once you use the link, you've verified that the email address is active and being read.

Then you start getting hammered bigtime as they add that email addy to all their lists.

wouldn't that just give them a list of complainers? who wants that?

This is a lame outfit anyway.

When I was just getting started I signed up with them. Then I spent about an hour putting together a gallery around one of their banners. Just as I was getting ready to post the gallery (about two hours after I signed up with them) I got their generic "termination from our program" email. It listed six possible reasons they might have sent the mail, none of which was applicable except (presumably):

                                            "6. Other"

                                            Lame way to do business....
