How can you say it doesn't say anything bad? The concept of the ad is based around 1984. Basically saying that Clinton is "big brother", the same old song and dance candidate with tired old political rhetoric. She's part of the old establishment while Obama is the new wave.Comment

I would argue just the opposite. They don't want Hilary. Hilary, unlike most dems, is not afraid to attack back and few people in the world of politics sling mud like the Clintons. And Hilary has Bill. Love or hate him you have to admit that Bill is one of, if not the, greatest campaigner of all time. Bill can go out and take away states in the south all by himself.Comment

Personally, I think the RNC nomination will be a sacrificial lamb next year. At the end of the day though, will Bill's campaign appeal outweigh the disdain most have for Hillary? Can her democratic old establishment status quo message beat out Obama's message of hope?
Not likely in the party. Less likely nationally.

that is the one thing that any republican nominee against her would have in his pocket. There are a lot of republicans out there that hate the Clinton's with a passion, just like there area lot of democrats out there that hate Bush. That hatred toward her could help rally the republican party around their candidate.

Thompson is an interesting choice. The fact he was an actor would hopefully mean he'd be less inclined to push for obscenity convictions and other things that would hurt free speech in the entertainment industry. He's still 50 years behind on social issues, but nowadays you have to be to win the Republican nomination.Comment

I actually have said Fred Thompson should run for about 8 years. I remember talking to my mom about that long ago.
But I tell you one thing, if we had Miller in there we sure wouldnt hear about our president stumbling over his words. Say what you like about him, but the guy is brilliant. Smart, witty, and has lots of common sense.Comment
