I heard about that plane when I was in tahoe, and the person was bragging about how cool it was, and I just hope that I get a chance to ride in that thing and go watch my favorite game of all time... Basketball
Ron, Sweet T, What do you think about my contest idea? I want to go to Atlanta....
My idea ~ Test the webmasters actual basketball skills. I know there is supposed to be a pick up basketball game so there has to be a basketball hoop somewhere, right? Have a timer set for 1 minute. A lay-up is worth one point, free throw 2 points and the spot at the top of the key beyond the 3 point line is 3 points. Winner is the webmaster with the most points in a minute.
Now I read that you wish to have the winner selected prior to the forum. Back to the drawing board.

Because of the limited time-frame, we'll probably have to think more off-the-wall than traditional "one entry per .. yadda yadda <related to business>"
Here are my ideas for the contest:
1) Entrants can submit a funny picture of their naughty-parts. Cocks with bow-ties, smoking a cig, tits in the melon section of the grocery store, etc. To ensure that the genitals match the entrant, they must be clearly marked with CCBILL and/or NATIONALNET.
2) A photochopping contest. Put a CCBILL or NATIONALNET crew member into a photochop -- the new Mount Rushmore, perhaps?
3) A scavenger hunt, a-la the Davinci Code. Hide clues, secret links, and code-phrases in the pages of CCBILL and NATIONALNET, and have contestants scour them to solve the riddle. Four different riddles, four different winners. (Note, I'd help you to develop the material for this one, that sounds like a shitload of fun.)
4) Entrants can submit the craziest video of a basketball, basket, jersey, etc. being destroyed .. "out with the old, and onto the final four" type of contest.
3.) Please make sure that if you are seriously putting in a suggestion to win this "contest for a contest" that you are very specific in your post. If it sounds like you are just kicking an idea around, we may not take you as a serious contestant. This should be a no-brainer, I just dont want someone mad at me later ;)
Just wanted to make sure my previous two ideas on the raffle for people who host and process with natnet/ccbill and the idea of naming the elite eight of mine were included and not just random ideas
Ok here is idea #1... it might be too much on such short notice but if anything maybe it will spark ideas. (or get me a ride to cabo, hi ron! *wink wink)
I think you should have a qualifying contest first instead of just winning. And the qualifiers leave for phx with in mind they might be one of the ones that will win. Since we have 2 different companies that offer 2 different services then the webmaster should have different ways you can qualify as a contestant in the contest. Once you qualify I think there should be another contest held during the phx forum (get as much exposure as possible ;-) that will narrow it down to the actual winners.
OK so how do you qualify?
Qualifying contest.
Top 10 with the most virtual coins will be the finalists. Both Nat Net and Ccbill are the only ones you can give these virtual coins. Automatically if you have an account with either companies you will get virtual coins, bigger accounts will get more coins then the smaller accounts. BUT don't let this bring you down small guys. There are ways to try to catch up and be competitive with the big guys.
Here is an example as how you can do the virtual coin system.
CCbill client 5 coins
Nat Net client 5 coins
* medium level client 5 additional coins
* Large level client 10 additional coins
New Accounts before phx forum
CCbill 20 coins
Nat Net 20 coins
New Accounts during phx forum but before final contest
CCbill 15 coins
Nat Net 15 coins
Referals
Lead 2 coins (Lead is someone that says they are interested in speaking with a rep about their services)
Sale 5 coins (Sale is someone that is ready to set up a new account with either company)
Ok so let say I have a ccbill account and is a medium client... = 10 coins
I decide i will open a new account with nat net before the show= 20 coins
I referred 4 ppl that want to hear more = 8 coins
I referred 3 ppl that are ready to set up new account= 15 points
I have 53 coins.
(Example final contest) you have 10 (or how ever many they are) qualifiers, In the registration bag all webmasters will find a Gold Coin. It will be the qualifiers job to get as many of these coins as possible. Most coins win... Now it wont' be easy because all you fine webmasters are smart enough to see an opportunity for yourself. You, the webmaster has something each of these 10 qualifiers want, your shinny coin. So you have to think what the coin is worth to you? It can be worth traffic, content, their girlfriend or even a beer. These 10 qualifiers will have to woo, buy drinks, give you business to just get your coin...Win Win for everyone.
Coins will be counted 2 hours before the announcement of the winners.
I am thinking of a treasure hunt so to speak at the Forum. You have a contest where the contestants (basically everyone at the show who wants to participate) have a list of things they must accomplish by a certain time. The contest will really push them to push it to the limits of Business and Pleasure. The four people who complete say all 10 things first. Win the contest. I will be happy to elaborate and finish a list after you crown me winner but just in case you want to get it over with now here is a list.
1. Go to the CCBill offices and retreive something predetermined.
2. Take a picture with sweett and Lia19 and Punker Barbie.(all together)
3. Go to the opening night party and take pictures with at least one employee of all the sponsors.
4. Get the Phoenix Forum t-shirt signed by sweett, RonC and Dr. Wicks
5. Wear that t-shirt in a picture with everyones favorite Sherrie Dosen while she is holding a dozen white roses you bought for her (well deserved)
6. Attend at least two seminars and get a picture with the moderators of the seminars you attend, at the seminar.
7. Go to Hooters and get a picture with a blonde a redhead and a brunette.
8. Go to the Lightspeed late night suite and get pictures with the Lightspeed girls.
9. Go to the Mansites and Pridebucks Late night Suite and take a picture with some of the boys.
10. Take all of the above items to a pre determined and fun place to cross the finish line so to speak .
All in time to make it to your plane to Atlanta where I will be sitting and hanging out with ya!!

Put together a list of things that involve information about the sponsors of the Phoenix Forum. Some of these things could be information that is only found in the webmaster section of the sponsors.
Other things could be pieces of information that can be found on this board using things like SleazyDream's Ambush Interviews and so forth....Just don't make it too easy to search for.
Does the contest HAVE to end this week? Perhaps the list of items includes a business card from each of the sponsors. This would force those interested to seek out the sponsors and meet them face to face.
If you consider any of this....I have a lot of other ideas of things to include.
Either way....Great contest from NatNet and CCBill.
Sorry, I was away from the board a little while coaching Little League....but I am back now and, so far, I am impressed!!
Some of you have put some thought into this....fantastic!! Lets hear some more good ideas...I would like to be able to begin the contest at some point tomorrow evening so lets hear what the late night crowd thinks!!!

ITS A CONTEST FOR A CONTEST!!!
Post your ideas on this board ASAP because we will be deciding within the next day. The contest should be one that can end by this weekend so that the winners have a chance to make their plans before leaving for the Forum.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Pick the winners for this weekends games for both the sweet 16 round and the Elite 8 round. Also have ppl include the final scores so you can use that for a tie breaker. The four closet entries win the trip.
Just to be clear this is my entry.

I am sorry, I posted an idea, but wasn't aware that the contest had be to decided before this weekend..
Here is another idea..
How about have people come up with the most pictures and the most events in the past say, 5 years that have been sponsored by ccbill and national net.. The 4 people that come up with the pics and events that were sponsored by these two companies with the trip to the main game....
That would take some time and some research for the 4 people to come up with those events and pics... There must be at least 50 events that national net and ccbill have sponsored.... It could be done in the next 4 days....
What do you think?
This is sort of like a scavenger hunt of sort... Look for pictures, old banners, old events, etc.... I think it will keep people busy trying to find all of these events, etc..... Did I mention I love basketball?
P.S. If I don't win, How much can I pay just to go with you guys?
*LOTTO*
How about doing a Lottery... email lotto at ccbill.com or natnet.com
With 5 or 6 #'s. You will receive a confirmation email acknowleding your #'s.
Lottery can be done either online or at the forum.
The top 4 ppl closest to getting all #'s Win.
[QUOTE=SweetT;12108877]CCBILL and NATIONALNET present the Final Four...VIP Style!!
Imagine this.....you are wrapping up the most profitable trade show you have ever been to as this year Phoenix Forum will surely be....but instead of going home from the hotel, you are met by a limousine who will take you and a friend to the PRIVATE Scottsdale Airport. You wont stop for security, you wont take your shoes off...in fact, the limo will drive directly inside the CCBill Private Hangar where you will walk directly from the limo and on board CC-1, the CCBill owned Gulfstream III that will whisk you away to Atlanta.
On board you will be treated to one of the best riding aircraft in the sky today. While your friends are flying commercial at 36,000 feet with all of the wind and turbulence, you will be flying high above at 43,000 feet like you were riding a magic carpet. As you sip Cristal and rub elbows with other winners you will not even notice how fast the trip is over and you will be landing in Atlanta.
In Atlanta, you will not land at the World's Busiest Airport, Hartsfield-Jackson....no sir...you will land about 30 miles north in the PRIVATE air field called Peacthree Dekalb. As the door to the GIII opens, you will be greeted at the very bottom of the stairs by your Atlanta Limos. Once inside you will be driven to the Hotel InterContinental in Buckhead where you will be for the next couple of nights. Atlanta has plenty to offer it's visitors, as there is some of the worlds finest restaurants, shopping, and, of course, those Atlanta Strip Clubs (if you choose).
On Monday, it is back into the limos and the short drive to the Georgia Dome, home of the 2007 Final Four. You will be watching from the NationalNet Luxury Skybox where there will be food and drink and plenty of good times. Of course, like in most basketball you will want to be sober for the final two minutes, as that is when all the action will fire up and the game will surely end as exciting as the other Final games in recent history.
After the game, the town is yours. There should be plenty to do and I am sure we will find all of it ;)
On Monday you will have the choice to head directly home from Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport, or you can fly back to Phoenix on CC-1 and leave from your original destination. The choice is yours.
How is that for a VIP Weekend???
I know what you are asking....how can you win?? Well, thats a good question...one I have been trying to figure out all weekend and I am drawing a blank....SO.....how about we have a contest to find a contest!!!!
We are planning on having 5 winners (plus their guests) of this VIP Trip, so the person who can come up with the best contest will win one of the trips and we will use their contest to give away the other 4 trips!!

Sweet T--my friend--assuming that bottom line out of this is trying to improve profits at both companies, best conest idea would be for you to drop it....spend all time wasted in this idea--speak to me and talk about how to improve sales..at this point in life its quality not quantity...your too busy for this...your kind of above this...just being honest......
Each ticket gains you 1 entry to the lotto, of course more tickets you have, more chance to win. Monies made from ticket sales will go directly to charity so it will be a tax write off.
1 prize given away to CCBill clients attending Phoenix in a random draw at CCbills booth
1 prize given away to NatNet clients attending Phoenix in a random draw at NatNets booth.
1 prize given away in a thread with questions about CCBill (number of employees, features of CCBill, and so on)
1 prize given away in a thread with questions about NatNet (number of servers, average bandwidth and so on).
Both National Net and CCBill have been pillars within this industry for years. They have run some of the best and longest running marketing campaigns in the business. They both have run many full page ads in the trade magazines, show publications and flyers for years. How about a contest where the person who posts or emails the largest number of different vintage or current advertisements for National Net and CCBill combined would win a spot. Actually it could be the top 4 winners.
Second Contest Idea:
How about a contest around CBill or National Net trivia. The people who come up with the top obscure or interesting fact or trivia about CCBill or National Net win the trip!
Third Contest Idea:
How about a contest where whoever can name the most clients who process with CCBill and host with National Net? It would be awesome to see how many clients that would be on that list. It would give props to both the companies and their clients. The biggest list wins. Once again you can have secondary winner.
Let me know what you think about these ideas? I tried to tie in marketing and promotional exposure for both sponsors of this amazing contest. Hopefully that will provide enough ROI that they can afford to run this awesome contest again in the future.
Create a full page ad for both CCBill and NationalNet. Include text and graphics. Specs of 8 1/2 x 11, four color. If you win, you give permission for your ad to be used in promotions for either company in print or online. You can use logos, etc from CCBill/NationalNet but no existing copy.
If time to do this is an issue, you could write 500 words of copy boasting the features and benefits of each company. Representatives from CCBill and NationalNet will select 4 winners and send Strickie and a guest to the finals!
Not everybody can design ads or things like that but I'm pretty sure everybody here has written at least one essay over the years.
Contestants would research and write essays on:
CCBill & NatNet
OR
Any of the other Phoenix Forum sponsors.
Not a fan of the essay idea? Change it a bit. What do your companies need that the average GFY member is capable of doing? A new mission statement? An ad campaign? A new marketing concept?
Whatever it is that you need. You pick it out, contestants put in their entries, and you pick the winners from there and implement there entries as desired.
At every show we get a bag or two full of crap. Most of this crap is thrown away but each show usually yields something new and interesting or useful enough to bring back with you.
I don't need another pen that lights up until the battery dies in 1.5 weeks but I do have a nice leather wrapped note pad and pen set from PremiumTraffic.com that I picked up at Internext.
Lighters are used at the shows a lot but you're not supposed to take them on planes now so most of them don't go home with people anymore.
So.......What are some good NEW suggestions for these items? Set a budget per item too otherwise people will be suggesting LightSpeed girl Real Dolls or something like that........hmmmm....I may be onto something with that one.
