I wouldn't say that pornstar sites are making anymore money than amateur sites.

Someone could just as easily buy pornstar content to create a paysite with as they could buy amateur content.

The type of niche doesn't make a paysite worth $1,000,000 a year. Its all about promotion/marketing/number of visitors.
