it would be a mistake of unforseeable consequences, but they would not be good. there are about 290 million people in the US, and over 80 million are legal firearm owners. this is not a force to be fucked with.
but my question is, what next? they're trying to take our freedoms for "homeland security", trying to take our firewalls, the security of our corporations and businesses that make this country thrive, and they're knocking on the door of our lifeblood, the porn industry. i heard from another unconfirmed source that bush was in favor of this. regardless, for our congress, that is a list that is long enough to be bothersome, especially in comparison to a lot of other bills.
doesn't this interest more people?
i live in a state of about 2 million people, and they've managed in the last few years to get $360 million in debt. and only now are they paniking. but the bad part is they are still wanting to spend... in this city alone over $360 million, and most of that is for a fucking river that will only waste water and kick people out of their homes. they doubled wheel taxes, raised income taxes, are raising property values _just enough_ so the feds won't notice, and they are proposing a property tax raise - after the value increase - and leveraging it with teachers' jobs. and that's just in this county.
what exactly is this country coming to? it's really starting to worry me, and makes me wonder if future generations will enjoy the things that we enjoy as americans.
get rid of FIREARMS? they are banning weapons reported by every state to NOT be used in crime. what sense does this make? the mini-14? half of you probably don't even know what that is. they aren't going to be able to do this without bloodshed, i fear.
i'm usually a pretty happy citizen, but this is just starting to get to be too much.
