allegedly a bit more than that, with Camwhores running in excess of 8k per month alone for server costs

Actually, yes. Its only money.

I don't think Stile does that well... Last year he had a fund raiser to help pay for a new server... He did get the money raised but that kinda raised a couple of eyebrows for me that maybe he does not do as well as you would imagine.

Yea, I was wondering about that also. That server was supposedly dedicated to his forum, but the financial aspect does not seem to make sense. I posted roughly the equivilent of this inquiry on the stileproject forum and it was erased quickly, so there is something there for sure.

I sent some traffic to their toplist and the returns were total shit They could trade more than 500 hits/day I bet... it's just a shitty ass message board that posts stolen pics... a bunch of cheap ass jerkoffs hotlinking stolen pics -- that's all it is.

It definitely used to be, as far as their forum was concered, but not for about 6 months, give or take. The porn picture post was closed and anybody posting copywritten material is IP banned.

I know getting into the whole "Blog Wars" thing, thats goin a bit too close to mainstream - blog is used by alot of kids these days with the whole cam portal thing, and is shared and used by sooo many thousands of young teens around the world as a new generation of Netters and Anti Luddites...and I think its a bit too close to teen popularity.

Sites like live journal and the whole blog wars thing is really big among teens, and begins with message boards and gaming industries... notice on those huge sites its all about comic charchters and PS2 and funny pictures, just to get the traffic, then where is it sent?

Stile has no warning or disclaimer, yet I have seen thousands of links point to that site from "live journal" blog pages and for instance, a "Final Fantasy Newsgroup"...

Kinda like rotten.com I mean how many of those 250 gigs a day are high school kids going "dude you seen rotten.com yet?"

I have no clue about the numbers stile makes, but I know on rotten they claim 250 gigs a day worth of downlaods, i think 15 million hits? And I know for a fact and can pioint to links of definite stolen content from my ex employer on their sites...

Pages with no disclaimer that are such traffic giants, are very interesting to me, but theres now way to find out exactly what their traffic is or where it comes from.

I keep a "live journal" and have been amazed at how easily these kids of today link porn and pics, and they are totally unsupervised, of course its the parents control,but thats just the point... where does the traffic come from?

Ive came across too many HUGE sites like digital5k and Stile to see that these numbers seems to be generated in great numbers by mainstream college affiliates or underworld designers, who knows? Still great sites!

More power too em, but id be interested in what the numbers are as well.

They run sites like http://www.famous-nude.com which they make money from. Still, that's an insane amount of traffic for a non-mainstream site.

From what I can see rottens traffic is dispursed into porn sites man, scroll all the way down... its not sponsors because he runs his own site,... the mugshots.org is a AVS, along with the other AVS rotten runs im sure he/she/they do really well, listen, look, learn ;)

How much money you make threads are stupid anyway;

1; you have no idea what the overhead costs are of any business has, staff, hosting servers, image production, content leases, office studio costs and leases, advertising and promotion costs ,just to name a few
- some people spend $5,000 a month on content, some people spend in excess of $5,000 a day on custom shoots

2; you have no idea what the cc processing costs are for any given business, chargeback ratios, referral payouts, retained members

If the head honcho puts $120K on his tax return, it doesn' mean that's all he makes... he/she might be rolling back the vast majority of their income back into the company and reinvesting it... then on the flip side they might be bleeding the company dry and leaving the shareholders on the hook
