9 hour flight was prolly over water. If this was in the northeast US, turning around may not of been a big option with all the delays from the snow...

It's a sad, freaked out situation, but I think they did the right and only appropriate thing there.

WARNING - very much TMI.......

On a trip back from San Diego a couple of weeks ago, I had HORRIBLE gas. I spent the trip either running to the bathroom or sleeping - which probably meant I was pooting while I was sleeping. THEN during one of my bathroom runs, I knocked over a glass of red wine on the guy next to me. He was asleep at the time and I didn't even realize I'd knocked it over until I came back and he and the FA were trying to clean it up. THEN they ran out of red wine before the end of the flight when he was trying to order more, lol.

I think he would have MUCH rather been sitting next to a corpse ;)

I offered to pay to clean his clothes - I think he just wanted me far, far away from him at that point.

naw man, I really wouldnt know how to react to the situation. When I first read it, what came to mind is , would I rather be stuck beside a corpse, or a screaming baby. I think the corpse won

I don't think I would be able to fly after that. It would serious mess with my mind. Probably have nightmares. But now that I think about it, with all the annoying people and children on flights, a corspe doesn't sound so bad. It's the sobbing daughter that would drive me crazy.

My gf is an FA for American. I remember the first time she had to give mouth to mouth (it was still mouth to mouth then, now I think they use a straw thing) to a guy having a heart attack and he died while she was doing it. She was TOTALLY freaked out for weeks. Not sure what they did with the dude after that. I'll ask her - I'm sure she wants to relive that day again, hehehe ;)
