            ifyou want the best it is going to have a STEEP learning curve

            if you want easy you won't get many nice features

                      I've heard of:
                      Site Depth -> http://www.sitedepth.com
                      and
                      Carma -> http://www.toomuchmedia.com/products/carma/pricing.html
                      If you think tough men are dangerous, wait until you see what weak men are capable of.

                          unfortunately sitedepth has been thrown under the bus, I was a strong supporter for a while, but they update maybe once a year (last I checked), and sometimes when they do update they don't even let you know

                          shame too, because I really hate putting my name behind something and strongly supporting it and then just being let down all around

                          Carma is amazing, awesome software

                          I am also using Awiz Paysite Manager now, and it seems pretty nice so far
                          '
                          both carma and awiz take a while to learn and set up though, but once you have them setup they are both kickass

                            Thanks alot Jace for checking back and answering my question...

                            I will check them out and see which I like the best and then put them on a practice domain to learn...

                            I will do it manually till I learn... But I need to learn fast, I have a solid dozen sites with 400 gb's worth of content to start with..

                              Uhm, I was kidding.

                              Actually. I use a system that is actually a traffic trading system, but I've learned to trick it out over the years. I've learned to manipulate it into doing what I want. When I was working at TripleXCash, I heard of it and learned it. As far as I know, to this day, I'm the only person that uses the traffic trading script in such complex ways.

                              Really when it comes down to it, it's just a simple templating system. You build an index.html and on the html you leave a place holder for the script to drop in the highest ranked trade. That's the basics of the trade script. Simple. But the cool thing is, the trade doesn't have to be a url link. It can be anything. It pulls the top URL from a database so you could literally put any bit of info in the databases. And you could have infinite databases per site.

                              So with a little .. no, with a LOT of brain work, you can build elaborate databases that drive entire sites with little to no maintenance. You can pretty much set it to update your site indefinitely. When I built CollegeFuckFest that's how we did it. That site ran for years with very little content and made a fortune.

                              The guy that built it though keeps it under tight lock and key and as far as I know only me and handful of other people use it and as far as I know, I'm the only one that uses it in the manner in which I use it.

                              So.. no I don't use javascript, but saying that I do, was MUCH easier than telling you exactly how I do it.

                              Or you could just get sitedepth or carma. The one I use is free, but has a learning curve that rivals photoshop and C++

                                  So you basicly are rotating the content so there is always something fresh, but not new... Nice idea!

                                        As far as I can tell it is kick ass for all paysites.. I am gonna contact them tommorrow to find out more, it also says they have a password managment type script, but I am wondering Jace's or anyone else opinion on whether it is good enough or should I still grab strongbox ontop of it...

                                          Hmm, well.. I know Alfredo is working on a new version, and he's always on MSN and ready to help with any issues. He coded quite a bit of new features for me in January/february this year.

                                          I AM a strong supporter of it, although it is a bit of a a resources hog.

                                            So you basicly are rotating the content so there is always something fresh, but not new... Nice idea!

                                            yes and no. We still drop in new content. But it's much easier than if it weren't automated.

                                            The set up is complex, but once it's done, it makes running the site much easier. Like I said, little to no maintenance. All we do is load the databases with new content and the sites run themselves.

                                            Like I said it's sort of like carma or site depth. Since it's a trade system we can track member clicking habits. I think Carma does that as well.

                                                                  I still think sitedepth has it's place, and it great for smaller operations, but I am planning on launching 5 paysites here soon, and one new one a month from then on out, and sitedepth just didn't have everything I needed for it, and my server tech started working with me on the resource issues, and sitedepth just was hogging too much

I am gonna contact them tommorrow to find out more, it also says they have a password managment type script, but I am wondering Jace's or anyone else opinion on whether it is good enough or should I still grab strongbox ontop of it...
