How many scenes enough to launch a niche paysite?

My opinion as a surfer, at least 25-30 vids with new vids every week.. AND other stuff... because if you pay 30$ to become a member to a website an then you go to the members area and there's only 8 to 12 videos.. i'd probably not renew...

And if you have only 1 paysite and it's really niched out, you need more than just videos in my opinion.

I'd say it depends on the niche first of all. If the niche is very small and content for it is rare, you can do with less content. If it's a huge niche like say teens or babes, you might need a lot more content.

hm... i think its about the cover and price, so 5scenes can be enough for great strong looking paysite and price around 10usd? maybe i am wrong, anyway i will try this in future

Yep, you can launch with 8, enough to populate the tour.

Add one update every week. So logically you might want to launch with 16 scenes. 8 for the launch and then enough for 2 months of updates.

my sites that I am about to launch will start with 15 each and updates schedules for 15 weeks after that, 2 videos a week

Less content = lower price.

So if you had for example, 10 scenes, then you would charge less until you got around 6 months, then move the price, and again at a year, etc.

That said, I would not start a site with less that 3-6 months of material (post 1 a week for starters, then three a week, etc...). This is especially important if you site's designed in a way they get to see what you have upfront.

The key to a paysite is not just getting them to sign up, but to rebill. OR come back later to sign up again. If you fuck them over, they will do neither.

of course, anyway for newbie as me is win if i get paid for my work, big sites are not for me now ... every next site can be better if i learn and maybe one day big daily updated site and rebills to come

This is a really interesting thread for me because i am l am lauching (finally) 5 sites with 335 scenes (teen) about 65 of these are hc and I have about another 140 scenes - all this is unique (i shot it myself over 2 years) but I had so many problems with programmers and the backend that I never used most of this content or even got sites - so if i get what you guys are saying then I have a years content for 5 sites at 2 per week as well as a backend?????
The first one isn't even built yet but the mock up is at amateurwetteens dot com (I can't even post a link yet!!?#!)

So I am guessing that you should launch with about 16 or 20 good scenes and back it up with good ones every week - don't make the mistakes that I have made - get your program and sites running perfect - that was my big mistake till now..

Last paysite I started had 30 videos (between 10 -20 minutes) and 30 picture sets, each with around 100 images.
