    are trials good or bad idea?

    are $1 tials and free trials a good idea, or for that matter low cost porn sites?

    put it this way the 8p can of baked beans at the local supermarket sells fewer cans that the 40p branded beans.

    people presume if it costs more it will be better.

    so if your site is $1, do they think "what a great deal" or "what a cheap site, it cannot be much good or there is a catch".

          but things change.

          we live in a different eara now of low sales and lots of free tubes.

          so while trials may have been good or bad a year ago, today it may be different.

          after all a year a go cross sales were the rage.

              ok, i dont even have a site but I am pretty sure of the answer since ive seen it discussed like a bazillion times all over the net....

              General consensus seems to be this:

              Trials are good but only if they only give access to a certain portion of the site. If you give complete access with a trial then people will rip your content and cancel. But yes, trials tend to help get more members.

                  It really can't be answered because it depends heavily on where the traffic is coming from, quality of content, how often you update, etc...If the user sees you're updating frequently and you're providing HQ content there is a much higher chance that your trial will convert.

                  Anyways, I would do some testing and see what makes you the most money. You won't know until you put it out there.
