Elton John is a MONSTER. And I agree she's not close to him. BUT, having said that: the girl CAN sing and play. I'm not "amazed" by it. But if you watch that vid you hear that she is a damn good singer and piano player with blues roots that you wouldn't have guessed listening to her pop songs.
She's definitely not a talentless pop tart like Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson. GaGa could play piano and sing with most any real live band. That is kinda rare these days with all the shit talentless "artists" who can't sing at all and have no idea how to play a musical instrument.
So it makes me happy to see somebody having that much commercial success who actually DOES have talent. Is she as good as Elton John? Hell no! But how many people are?-Robbie

Or discussing alleged "musicians" either. I love it. I'm just saying that Lady GaGa has talent. If you don't think so, then who cares? You can watch the vid I put a link up for and make an informed decision as to whether she's better than you thought or if you still think she sucks for whatever reason. Again, who gives a shit. I just enjoy talking music and thought I'd point out that when I saw her perform live on t.v. I was shocked because I had a preconceived idea about her that turned out to be wrong. And when I'm wrong, I admit it.
EDIT: By the way, I don't own any Lady GaGa records nor do I go out of my way to hear that kind of music.
