First off, it isn't really prison. Prison is the "big house", where you get sent away. Not that it really matters.
Second, why would you tell some random person you're wearing a $5k piece of hardware unless a) you were trying to impress someone, or b) you were in their face and wanted to show off.
And third, what haven't you told us? You had to have pissed off the bouncer. Very rarely is somebody going to call the cops because Joe Blow has in his possession something stolen.
