Apple knew about the antenna issue before the iPhone 4 went on sale!!

Apple Inc.?s senior antenna expert voiced concern to Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs in the early design phase of the iPhone 4 that the antenna design could lead to dropped calls, a person familiar with the matter said.

Last year, Ruben Caballero, a senior engineer and antenna expert, informed Apple?s management the device?s design may hurt reception, said the person, who is not authorized to speak on Apple?s behalf and asked not to be identified. A carrier partner also raised concerns about the antenna before the device?s June 24 release, according to another person familiar with the situation.

there are always certain bugs and problems with every software and hardware... just have to take a gamble with what you want to release or keep spending more time fixing it and by the time its done its old techonology

I don't get it? Simply putting the damn thing into a protective case solves the issue. Something that most people do anyways. Hell, you spending 3400 bucks on the life of the phone and the contract that goes with it, most would want to keep it from getting dinged and scratched.

Solution for apple here is to simply give everyone a cheap fucking protective case for it. If you want a nice one go out an buy it like everyone else with any other phone does.

The God damn thing is a computer in your hands that happens to make calls also... christ people are never satisfied. It's got a little issue with the antenna where, just like every other fucking thing out there with an antenna, if you touch it if messes up the reception. Oh the horror! Christ people whine about stupid shit. Buy a fucking case, protect your investment fix the issue and shut the fuck up.

So if it was an HTC phone doing this, you'd be saying the same thing? Really? The fact is there are phones with pretty similar specs to this new iPhone that don't have this stupid little "death grip" problem.

As for everyone always getting protective cases for their phones, I've never gotten a protective case for a phone in my life and I doubt I'm the only one. I don't go around throwing my phone n shit so I don't need to fork out anything to protect it. Only a clumsy fool drops their phone or anything expensive really.

I'm not into the hype no matter which phone it is, hell I bought a cheap ass verizon prepaid and use it, cause I make about 10 cell calls a month max. ATT does not have a single out hear worth a shit and I don't care if your using the new iphone or any other model they happen to sell.

When Verizon gets the iphone I'll buy one, I'll splurge and get a 20 dollar case for it. I would not be caught dead using a windows based piece of shit phone. The HTC, looks neat, but I would have to actually use it and see if I like it, so no comment on it. Bottom line, If I'm going to spend any real amount of money on something it better do something worth what I'm spending that money on. Like the Ipad, worthless to me. When the next Ipad comes out with a front facing camera on it and some way to actually use it as a full blown os x based laptop then I would be all over it. Till then, I stick with the "old fashion" actual laptop.
