    Need US East Coast Traveling Advice (new england?!)

    I need some first hand input here...
    I am spending a weekend with a friend of mine... she's currently in boston and wants to explore the east coast a little more. new england more or less

    i need your input for the following:
    - is there anything in particular in that area that is interesting to visit. Either an interesting city, landscape, something like that.
    - i need some input on martha's vineyard... this is one place she wants to go to... i mean... its a freakin island is it even worth seeing that area (for a non couple)? and beach? in mid april? Input and comments on that would be appreciated
    - what about Providence?

    I am truly grateful for any input i can get from you guys.

              Mount Washington in NH. I think they may be getting snow in the Northeast this weekend so travelling around may be a bitch. When it snows in New England it is no joke...

                      Providence has a lot of great restaurants... and Newport and Cape Cod are great places to visit too... What kind of stuff do you want to do? Shopping? Museums? Hiking?

                                  Well I would say Newport is great, they have the gilded-age mansion tours, great little shops and some tasty restaurants. There is also the cliff walk and the coastal scenary is amazing.
